Kapaleeshwarar Temple - Gopuram

Kapaleeshwara temple

Kapaleeshwara temple at Mylapore, Chennai, is 400 years. Standing to pruify the souls.

Because of Brahma's head weight, he failed to give respect to Lord Shiva and Parvathi, got one of his Head (Kapalam) Plucked by Lord Shiva. Later to get his head back, Brahma installed a Siva lingam and worshipped Lord Shiva at this temple spot.

Moral of the story: We should not carry head weight or egos, because there is some one to Pluck it.
